Yep. Keep them topped off with water. They will grow little plants (slips) off the potatoes. Then when the slips are 10"- 12" tall pull them off the potatoes and put in a jar of water and they will grow roots.

Yep after they grow roots you can transfer them to a 1 gallon pot and let them grow till planting time.

I read about keeping tilapia in containers like this and using the water for hydroponics. You can use duckweed in the fish water as a fish food supplement.

Thats what im doing,just trying it out. I got 6 ive been watering every now and then. Their leaves fall off but the stems are still green.
